As part of my budget kitchen renovation, I decided to upgrade the appliances from 20 years ago that came with my home to more energy-efficient, functional ones that matched with the rest of the space better. Since they had all been inherited when I moved in seven years prior, these items would need replacing anyway.
As I learned more, I highlighted 10 tips for purchasing new appliances that will save you money earlier this week, with time being the biggest money saver of them all. When shopping at large sales, patience is essential; be flexible about when and where you buy something and when delivery will occur to ensure the best prices possible.
However, even with all of those tips in place, savings could still be limited by choosing the wrong appliance retailers. Different stores have specific pricing structures they rotate through every so often – this works out great if you have enough time and know exactly what you want before looking around for your purchase.
What I found was two retailers can rarely be beat, and with just a little effort on your part between these retailers you should be able to consistently get AT LEAST 25% off retail price every time (I will detail how at the end of this post). I found an average 40% savings off retail, without any clearance, closeout, or scratch/dent models; nor high priced and high margin models being purchased!
