Years ago, I conducted my initial LifeLock review. Since then, the service has undergone significant change with product benefit expansions and ultimately being acquired by identity and computer security giant Norton Symantec. Therefore, this LifeLock review is regularly updated in order to keep pace with any developments or modifications pertaining to it. In 2024 alone!
Before signing up for LifeLock (this partner link offers the lowest price I’ve seen so far with up to 37% off for the first year), it’s important to understand exactly what features it includes and my goal with this review is to give an in-depth picture of all their features so that you can make an informed decision whether LifeLock is worth your while or not. There are free ways of protecting against identity theft; however they require effort on your part; some measures can go above and beyond paid services available while in other ways they fall short; keeping up with paid services may take effort on your part; ultimately it may require lots of manual effort from yourself in order to stay abreast with paid services’ features if not completely.
Let’s examine LifeLock in more depth for $7.50 per month (payable annually in 1st year) of its discounted “Standard” plan in addition to their higher service “Advantage” and “Ultimate Plus” plans, and whether similar results can be achieved without paying. I will go through each feature benefit claim of LifeLock to determine whether there are free alternatives; then we will discuss all its pros and cons.
