Poor Customer Service by Policy
While good customer service should be recognized and celebrated (see my list of the best retailer return policies), poor service must not go undetected or disguised under different labels. Today we will examine some of the worst retailer return policies; typically these stores make returning items difficult in order to increase profit margins.
How much business are these retailers losing to competitors due to their policies? Only time will tell. In some instances, these retailers may not have much direct competition and have been able to get away with poor customer focus; but this only creates opportunities for future competitors who offer more generous return policies. Let these retailers know your opinion by shopping elsewhere with more accommodating returns policies.
